HI! I’m Kate. A professional photographer in Colorado.
I started using a CRM in 2017 and within the first year, my business DOUBLED. By 2019 by business TRIPLED. Why do you need a CRM? Read on to find out.
This page is dedicated to educate small business owners on how to start using a CRM (client relationship management system) to help them be professional, consistent and on brand with ALL of their client and inquiry communications. We are specifically using the CRM 17hats, which is great for creatives, photographers, dog walkers, estheticians, solo-preneurs etc.
There are industry specific CRMs that you might be required to use. However, the tips on this page will help you get whichever CRM you use, up and running. The goal for implementing any CRM is to start small and build on what you need from your CRM first. If you try to tackle the more complicated aspects of a CRM (IE: workflows or automation) you might feel overwhelmed.
1st TIP: Do research on the best CRM for YOU before diving in. Ask other businesses in your industry what CRM they currently use. Then look at cost AND if this CRM has education resources for you to help build your CRM. Plan to spend at least 2-3 days building your CRM. We suggest you do this in your “slow season.”
